The impact of the new coronavirus is very significant for those who are close to it in terms of the high number of deaths, but the economic impact for society as a whole is immeasurable.
As with typhoons, when they come in a shape or scale that we did not anticipate, we are bound to suffer a great deal of damage, but the only thing we can do then is to learn from them and move forward. If you think about it positively.

The problem is the balance between working remotely and working at office.
I’m sure some people are having a hard time when remote work is the main thing to do. For example, people who are not good at PC and internet environment. With that kind of person in the management, once the new corona crisis has settled down they may begin to say :

It seems to me that we can be divided into two categories:
- People who want to make the best use of technology to maximize results
- People who see only existing methods as an option to make them feel like they’re working
Personally, I don’t think the goal is to go back to the pre-Corona state, I think it’s better to make it a better environment. In an emergency, a person’s values will come out clearly, so it might be a good idea to keep a close eye on the people around you. There will always be naysayers, so we need to make it work.
Also, I’m going to digress a bit, but I have a thought about typical work environment.
Many offices don’t take into account the performance of PCs or the balance of desks and chairs at all.
For instance, the back of the chair is unusually soft, the PC is extremely slow or freezes easily, the screen is narrow, and the eye level and height of the screen are obviously wrong.
In my experience, most offices are like this.
Management people are only looking at the prices of PCs, monitors, and office furniture. Nowadays, you can buy a gaming chair for 20,000 yen or so, and the cost of reducing each person’s work performance is much higher.
If you want your employees to work in your office, you have to make a decent investment, and if you don’t like it, Work from home is a good choice, so now is a good time.
